Taking your kidney transplant medicine as directed is crucial to the protection of your new organ. Anything that interferes with or disrupts your ability to take your medication must be reported to your transplant team. You should never reduce or skip doses of your medication unless specifically instructed to do so by your transplant team.
If you travel, let your transplant team know ahead of time. Be sure to pack enough of your kidney transplant medication for the entire length of your trip plus a few days. If you're flying, always travel with your medication in a carry-on bag, never in the bag you are going to check.
You can find a helpful Medication Planner on the Wellness Tools page.
